We had been waiting for weeks for the day to arrive when Ariana and her boyfriend Marcial would finally get home for a visit! That day finally came and we had a great dinner after we all picked them up at the airport in Atlanta! After getting home and getting them settled in we all headed to bed! Sunday, we had a lot of plans, the first being an amazing meal fixed by my wonderful wife Phyllis! Meatloaf (Ariana’s favorite!), pork chops, baked beans, dressing, and more other things than I can name as we celebrated Thanksgiving, Christmas and every other meal for the last 2 years! Ariana’s best friend from high school, Maleah and her family came, my parents, all the kids except Craig, who had headed back to Georgia State, and Phyllis and I had a great time and the joy it brought to my heart is beyond explanation! After visiting for a while, we headed out for our next adventure to Little River Canyon and the 411 Drive-in! Little River Canyon is always amazing even though it is almost dry at this point and I think Marcial really enjoyed seeing it! We drove the entire length of the Canyon and made several stops for pictures and the amazing views before reaching the Canyon Mouth Park! We got to the drive-in after a meal at Jacks in Centre, Alabama. We had the place almost to ourselves to watch “The Magnificent Seven”. The movie was good, but the beautiful, cool night was incredible! Fall was definitely in the air and it was Marcial’s first time at a drive-in. After the movie, we headed home to get some rest for our next adventure of the week!
