What Can Government Do-2018

I generally stay out of debates related to school shootings because both sides are so entrenched no one is going to change their mind. Since in my opinion debate is done to convince people your arguments are better than theirs, the debate is over before it starts. I do have one point that has been bothering me. The same people who want stricter gun laws and/or banning guns seem to be the same ones that hate the idea of Trump’s wall. Do you think that if we banned guns here, that guns would not flood over the border? During prohibition, we always see the people making moonshine etc., but the vast majority of illegal alcohol came from Canada and Mexico smuggled across the border! Would the same thing not happen with guns? Just a thought. All of our problems are connected and until we all on both sides get serious about solving them, all doing it piecemeal will do is keep failing and we will keep dying from guns, drugs, poverty, etc.! No one in my opinion really wants to solve anything! They just want to yell at the other side!! It’s all their fault! Think about it! If you solve the problems what will politicians have to use against each other to convince you the other side is evil? There are some good ideas on both sides, but no one wants to listen! In the meantime, we keep yelling and cursing each other and we keep dying!! Try not to be part of the problem and try to honestly listen and be part of the solution!! I don’t have the answers, but for the most part I don’t think the National
Government can solve much of anything even if they did want to! It starts at home with all of us and then the community and then move on up! Don’t expect anyone to solve your problems. Start working on them yourself and maybe we will find hope!!
