Family Homecoming October 2016

Today, as I sat by Sweetwater Creek with my amazing wife Phyllis after dropping my beautiful daughter Ariana and her boyfriend Marcial off at the Airport, I contemplated all the special moments in life! The past week has contained an incredible number of new memories to add to the many past days that still mean so much to me! Ariana came home for the first time in 2 years and Marcial made his first trip to Georgia so we tried to make the experience as wonderful as possible with everything we planned! Today I reviewed all of those moments in my head trying to lock them in forever! How many times do we miss those special moments and let them slip away forever? What if we never get the chance to experience them again? From the moment we picked them up at the airport, I relished every moment with Ariana and every moment getting to know Marcial better. It also gave us time for both of them to spend with Phyllis and the kids and get to know them. It gave my parents the opportunity to spend time with them and to get to know Marical and we even managed to get Craig for a day so we could all be together, which was one of the most special moments of all! We missed out on some moments just because of a lack of time and some opportunities slipped by which I wish I could change, but you can’t get those moments back! Instead, we hold on to those moments that we do get to live and experience! We had so many of those this week and I am so grateful for the time and opportunities! I miss Ariana every day, but I know she is following her dreams and making them reality and I know she has worked so hard to get where she is and I would never hold her back from that! I am so grateful that a young man as good as Marcial is there for her and it was amazing getting to see so many different aspects of who he is! These moments were priceless and even though my heart is heavy at the moment from missing them, I know that will pass and I will have these wonderful days to look back on and to cherish for as long as I live!

On that note, I will be posting our adventures over the last week along with many pictures (For any of you that read my posts, you know I LOVE a lot of pictures!)! Honestly, I post many of my stories and pictures for myself, Phyllis and others with us, but I hope they bring a little smile to those who take the time to read them! I hope all of you who had the week off for Fall Break were able to make memories to last a lifetime! Time is so precious and when we truly get to make the best use of it, life has so much more meaning!
