We left Helton Creek and went to Vogel State Park! We started a short hike around the lake and to the falls at the end of the lake! I had camped here often as a kid, but I did not remember these really pretty falls! I also found some of the most amazingly beautiful mushrooms I have ever seen! Spent a couple hours here and then headed back to camp for a great dinner! Phyllis cooked some incredible steaks, vegetable packets, and roasted corn for a great dinner around the fire! A quiet evening around the fire enjoying conversation and company and then a great night’s sleep in the crisp fall air and we were ready for the next day’s adventure!
